Our Practice

Dr. Edward Janiga,OD

Dr. Janiga graduated from Lafayette College in 1983 and the Pennsylvania College of Optometry in 1987. He is a member of the New Jersey Optometric Association and the American Optometric Association. His practice has been in Hawthorne, New Jersey since 1992. On his off time, he enjoys fishing and was the winner of the 2004 Fly Tying award - which we are all very proud of. "The Doc", as referred to by Liz, loves snack time and his daily cup o' tea. Dr. Janiga has a unique sense of humor and enjoys to make his co-workers chuckle every now and then. Dr. J is the best boss and optometrist that ever lived.

Elizabeth

Elizabeth has been with the team for 3 years now and is a pro. She is a problem solver and quick thinker who keeps the office on their toes. Elizabeth enjoys helping patients pick out frames, and loves to leave the headaches for Kati. In her spare time she shops too much for her own good, and is very close with our newest employee Kati. (Especially since they are pretty much twins.) Elizabeth really enjoys her job and doesn't mind spending her life at the office.

Kati

We are welcoming back (with arms wide open) a former employee of the Doctor Janiga Clan, Kati Cimmino. For the past three years Kati has been hopping between school and working in retail trying to decide what's the best route for her life's journey. All to discover, where she really belonged was back here with us. We are welcoming her back as our new office manager. She is constantly upbeat and happy and adds a zest for life to our office. Kati is also attending Ramapo College pursuing a Social Science degree with a concentration in Community Mental Health. Kati and Liz have been friends since 2004 and have proved to work very well together. Kati also gets a kick out of it when patients ask if her and Liz are sisters - (which they are not, but might as well be!!)

Sharon

Sharon was the office manager for the past 11 years. This December Sharon opted to leave the front desk position to spend time with her beloved husband and spend their retirement years together. She , however will continue as a staff member behind the scenes helping our office fight with insurance companies and odds and ends. We miss seeing her face daily, but know that she's still dedicated and hard at work, but more then deserves her time off. Sharon's advice to her daughter-like co-workers, and her continuous happiness will be more then missed. Sharon was never really thanked enough for the things she has done; she is so loved.
